Compatible Hand Planes
Optimized for block planes only:
Lie-Nielsen block planes (60 1/2, 140, 9 1/2, 102). Don't use the Rabbet plane it might cut into the bottom of the shooting board track.
Veritas small block plane only (DO NOT USE Low Angle larger block plane)
Stanley
Japanese block planes (make sure the plane's blade is not cutting above the top fence before using)
Not recommended for large bench planes.
Finish & Feel
Finished with a coat of paste wax for a smooth, low-friction stroke. This surface improves control and protects the board for long-term durability.
I find this the perfect size for those hand-trimmed tight miter corners when using thin stock. Definitely worth the investment!

Mini Miter Shooter packs a big Punch
As a hand tool woodworker I have used Shooting boards of all types and sizes. I purchased the Mini Miter to add to my arsenal. Out of the box this tool was mfg with precision in mind. The intent of any type of tool like this is to refine a miter. This tool does just that. My first miter came out square and dead on at 45. The fit and finish of the tool is perfect for the box maker. I recommend this tool for anyone trying to refine miters on small components.
